I ran across these gems while in the VHS- “Board Crazy” and “Skateboard Superstunts”.
I like the photo on the back of “Skateboard Superstunts”. The back cover sentence is rad- ” Thrill to spectacular never before seen skateboard stunts performed exclusively for Kid’s Klassics’ cameras. World Champions and superstars Christian Hosoi, Rob...

Girl’s New Golden Girls Series is one of the best series in awhile- conversation piece to say the least. Koston as Betty White will cause nightmares in children.

Agenda in Anaheim last week was pretty cool. It’s cool to see what everyone is coming out with even though we are in rough economic times. Deathwish Homies Alfred and Doug below. Deathwish was pulling Fresh screen printed tees in their booth.
Rat Fink meets Deathwish tees. This one is fresh about to come off the press.
Territory has been super influenced by old school sports so we...

I visited my 2 friends Erik Fountain & Aaron Bjorky this weekend in LA. Forgive my camera it has a terrible user. Erik is a Cartoon Animator and Aaron makes TV commercials for the cheddar but loves making fine art.
This is what a Disney Animator’s at home cubicle looks like- lots of inspiration all around. Erik just finished up an animation you may have caught in the new Toy...

Stoked about a Powell-Peralta Documentary. Imagine walking into a cafe and seeing all these guys sitting together? Also Mike V. is back riding for Powell-Peralta. I must say that is way better than Element.
Stacy, Rodney, CAB, Tony, Mike, Lance and Tommy will be working on a Bones Brigade Documentary starting in February 2011.
On Monday, November 29th at Los Angeles International Airport,...
Random Inspiration in the Territory Office. I like how some things are so cool they never die like Star Wars and The Simpsons (Milli Vanilli is a different story). Little kids in 2010 love Star Wars. Marketing genius? Yes, but still a testament to how enduring it is. I watched a hilarious episode of The Simpsons last night, Bart has not aged a day and it’s good to see he’s still...

Been chatting with Toby Shields, who grew up skating in the 80’s in Upstate New York, about skateboarding and our similar experience of having the infamous ninja shredder as our first board. He sent in some cool pics from the 80’s of him and his buds skating. Thanks for sharing Toby.
From Left to Right: Mykey, Dave, and Toby Shields skating an epic mini in the sticks of NY- circa...

Skate Muscle
This is the first tee for the brand connected with this site which I call TERRITORY. There is no cheesy manifesto for what the brand represents. It comes from ideas, memories, and inspirations that I see or that pop into my head that I turn into art for t-shirt graphics. There is nothing else to it than that. I would say there is a general theme of skateboarding and 90’s pop culture but not...

Krooked 3D
My favorite 3D DVD will be the first one to not give me a headache after viewing. With complaining aside the new Krooked 3D was pretty good. Gonz and his hand pick riders make skateboarding fun with a no rules video montage of them all sakting together in different cities. Throw out the separate sections and individual filming, these guys just traveled together, filmed together and Krooked 3D is...

Rodney's Autobiography
I just flew through the Rodney Mullen Autobiography this weekend. Simply put it was a very good book. Just when I think I know a lot about the skateboard industry I get schooled. But besides a cool history lesson on how the outcasted major pros of freestyle skateboarding in the 80’s are now multi-millionaire industry owners, you get to meet the real Rodney Mullen. Through his transparent...

SkaterDater
Its more of a funny coincidence than anything. My friend Mike recently told me about an old skate movie called SkaterDater that he said he used to watch in jr. high in the 70’s. He talked about how cool it would be to see it again. I went to task at finding it for him and bought a bootleg copy of the 17 minute mini drama about a skater falling for a girl from some guy online. I promptly...

Although the Epicly Laterd Dylan Rieder Episode 3 was a little weird with a bunch of dudes talking about how “hot” he was, his Gravis Mini-Movie is pretty good. The highlight of the series for me was in Episode 1 with the Penny footage from Huntington Beach Park (RIP). If you ever skated this park you can tell how hard he is ripping it on this footage.
